Wonder’s Run provides hunter/jumper lessons for a variety of levels
and ages. Learning here includes getting the horse, grooming, tacking, riding, cooling down and learning basic first aid for
these incredible animals. Learning to ride begins with no stirrups and no reins, attached to a lunge line so the instructor
has control of the horse. In this way, students learn how to balance and use their body to communicate with their horse effectively.
Eventually gaining their reins and stirrups, students taught this way have a strong base and good understanding of what the
horse is doing underneath them. Wonder’s Run provides helmet, tack and the horse for the initial lessons until students
decide to take the leap into a riding career.
More advanced lessons work
on flat work beyond basic walk/trot/canter to counter canter, leg yielding, turn on the haunches and fore hand, etc., perfecting
communication and movement between horse and rider. We often use gymnastics to improve horse’s jumping form and to focus
on specific areas of riding. We bring all this together on schooling courses or series of jumps to polish the picture making
sure horse and rider are ready for the show ring.

fewer jumps set up for gymnastic and flat work exercises.
